Sony has announced the Sony Xperia XZ Premium smartphone at Mobile World Congress MWC 2017 – featuring an advanced camera and 4K HDR display. The new XZ Premium won the “Best New Smartphone or Connected Mobile Devices at Mobile World Congress MWC 2017” award at the annual Global Mobile Awards (Glomo awards).
The XZ Premium smartphone will comes in two color variants: Luminous chrome and deep-sea black hit the market in late spring. The most impressive feature of the phone is the Sony’s new Motion Eye camera system. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the company’s first smartphone device that comes with Exmor RS camera sensor that’s offers five times faster image scanning and data transfer. Additionally, the new sensor can detect moving objects precisely to enable predictive capture. The camera captures motion that the human eye cannot see.
“Xperia XZ Premium is our most technologically capable smartphone ever,” said Hiroki Totoki, President and Chief executive officer at Sony Mobile Communications in a statement issued on 2 March.

Other key features of the XZ Premium are Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, the latest generation Android 7.1 Nougat, 13 megapixel front camera, and 3230mAh battery capacity. Along with the smartphone device, Sony also said that a range of supporting accessories would be available, including quick charger UCH12W and Bluetooth headset with speaker SDH56.
