GIGABYTE announced that it is updating its line of BRIX compact barebones systems with Intel’s newest 7th Generation Core processors. The updated models will feature the Intel Core i3 7100, Intel Core i5 7200 or Intel Core i7 7500. One of the biggest features of the Intel’s new CPU is Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 that dynamically boosts performance and graphics when needed and also saving energy/keeping temperatures low when it is not.
GIGABYTE BRIX Features:
The new Intel HD Graphics comes out with a new media engine that offers HEVC 10-bit hardware acceleration that significantly improves upon 4K content playback as well as the content creation when compared to previous generation processors. BRIX also comes out with HDMI2.0 and support for HDCP 2.2.

All the above processors are fully equipped with the Intel HD Graphics 620 with a 300MHz base freq, which can boost to 1GHz (1.05GHz for i7). These systems support up to 32 gigabyte of DDR4 2133MHz memory (two SO-DIMM slots).

Each model has 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2, two DDR4-2133 SODIMM slots for the memory, and a variety of ports, including:

Like most Gigabyte Brix computers, this new models will likely be sold as barebones systems. While the price includes a case, processor, motherboard, and power supply, you will have to supply your own memory, operating system, and storage.
