Acer Is Expanding Its Revo Line Of Tiny Desktop Computers
Acer has revealed its Revo Base mini PC at a pre IFA 2016 event. This new model packs in a lot of high-end hardware inside a small form factor, and it’ll run on Windows 10. This system has several advancements over the existing Revo Base PCs, but it appears that it is not compatible with existing Revo Base accessories.
This mini-PC is stylish, saves space, and it’s perfect as a home entertainment and content hub. The Revo Base is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and has up to 8 gigabyte of DDR3L system memory, which allows it to run smoothly when handling intensive tasks. The device can also support up to two monitors, has speedy wireless connectivity, and is a perfect multimedia hub: and lag is a forgotten word with this top notch mini-PC.
With digital content delivery becoming the norm, a compact home entertainment hub provides users the convenience and storage space that laptops or tablets just can’t offer. The Revo Base mini PC is designed as a dedicated entertainment, browsing and content-serving device that addresses the performance and expandability needs of today’s consumers, while taking into consideration the space constraints of modern living rooms.
The Acer Revo Base will have both HDMI and DisplayPort connections, along with four USB 3.1 ports. Onboard storage can include up to 2TB in the hard drive space or 256GB in SSDs, and there’s also an SD card slot for adding more storage. This mini PC will go on sale in the first quarter of 2017 in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the starting price of €429 (about $478). There is no word yet on a U.S. release date.
